How to Translate or Rename All Texts

Listivo texts live in several places at once. This guide shows you where each one sits — the Listivo Panel, custom fields, Elementor widgets, Contact Form 7 and the newsletter — so you can translate or rename every string on your site.

This guide walks you through translating or renaming the elements of your Listivo theme.

1. Set Correct Site Language

Go to wp-admin > Settings > General > Site Language and set the correct language for your site. It can be English or any other language.

WordPress Settings > General screen with the Site Language dropdown highlighted and set to English (United States).

2. Customize Static Texts

Go to Listivo Panel > Translate/Rename. In this section, you can translate or rename all static texts to your desired language.

Translate & Rename screen in the Listivo Panel, Strings tab, listing theme texts such as Account Details and Actions, each with a "Translate / rename here" field.
Slugs are part of your URLs
The same module also renames slugs, so anything you change on the Slugs tab changes your URL structure.

3. Customizing Texts for Custom Fields, Their Options, and Placeholders

Read Customizing Texts for Custom Fields, Their Options, and Placeholders to learn how to translate fields, options, and their placeholders on search forms, add ad forms, and more.

Front-end Category dropdown open, listing Community, Devices, Fashion, For Kids, Health & Beauty and Jobs with the number of ads next to each option.

4. Change Texts on Elementor Widgets

Listivo pages and templates use Elementor widgets, which include some texts that cannot be found in Listivo Panel > Translate/Rename. This approach is beneficial because Elementor widgets provide greater design freedom, and having access to the text directly in the widget lets you modify it with a live preview instead of hunting for it in the backend.

4.1. Open the page in Elementor

Find the page you want to modify (e.g., Homepage) and click the Edit with Elementor button.

Alternatively, you can click this button when viewing a page.

4.2. Customize Text on Single Ad Template and Other Templates

Go to Listivo Panel > Templates > Ad Page and edit the active template.

or any other widget, like User Ads.
