Update the theme first
This module was enabled in Vehica 1.0.53 (before 16th April 2021), so an older theme will not have it. Update to the current version this way — How to update Vehica Theme?

What your users see

Messages page in the user panel: a Chats column on the left listing two conversations, and the open thread on the right with the seller's replies, a "Write your message here" box and an orange Send button.

Turn the module on

  1. 1 Enable it in the panel

Open Vehica → User Panel → Basic. The screenshot marks the two settings involved: (1) the Private Message System option, and (2) Contact Owner Type, set to Private Messages.

Vehica User Panel settings in the WordPress admin, with arrows pointing at the Private Message System option (1) and the Contact Owner Type dropdown set to Private Messages (2).
  2. 2 Edit your templates

Go to Vehica → Layouts & Templates and click Edit on (1) the Listing Page Template and (2) the User Page Template. Add the Private Message Form widget to each of them.

The Layouts & Templates screen in the Vehica panel, with arrows pointing at the Edit buttons of the Listing Page Template (1) and the User Page Template (2).
  3. 3 Place the widget

In Elementor, drag the widget from the elements panel into the template — it can go anywhere you wish.

The Elementor editor with a widget tile labelled "Private Message System" in the left elements panel, dragged onto the page next to a "Send message" heading with a large message box and an orange Send button.
