Allow to assign different templates to specific types of listings (e.g. Motorcycles, Sold or any other )

Give a single type of listing its own single-page design — a different page for motorcycles than for trucks, or a stripped-down page for cars marked as sold — instead of running one template for everything.

You can assign different “Listing Page Templates” to specific types of listings — for example, when a listing has the “Sold” status you can show a small variation of the listing page (add a big SOLD text, hide some information).

You can also use this option to build a completely different template for any other purpose, e.g. a Motorcycle page that looks nothing like a Truck page.

By default the system uses one “Active” template for all types of listings.

Vehica Panel with Layouts & Templates open: a Page layouts table (Empty Layout, Dark Menu Layout marked Default, Transparent Layout) and below it Listing Page Templates, where “Single Car Template - Gallery” is marked Active.

Turn on per-type templates

Don’t see the option?
If the setting is missing from your panel, update the theme first.
  1. 1 Enable the option

In the Vehica Panel → Basic Setup, tick “Allow to assign different templates to specific types of listings” and click Save All Changes.

Vehica Panel Basic Setup screen with Fonts and “Listings: General” settings; an arrow points to the ticked “Allow to assign different templates to specific types of listings” checkbox above the Save All Changes button.
  2. 2 Open the taxonomy

In the WordPress admin, open Listings and pick the taxonomy that holds the term you want to treat differently — for example Type.

WordPress admin sidebar with the Listings menu expanded; an arrow points to the “Type” submenu item, among Condition, Body Type, Offer Type, Make, Model, Drive Type, Transmission and other listing taxonomies.
  3. 3 Edit the term

Find the term that should get its own template — e.g. Motorcycle — and click Edit.

The Type taxonomy screen with the Add New Type form on the left and the term list on the right; an arrow points at the Motorcycle row, which shows its Edit, Quick Edit, Delete and View actions.
  4. 4 Choose the template and save

Pick the template you want in Single Listing Custom Template and click Update.

Edit Type screen for the term “Motorcycle” with the Single Listing Custom Template dropdown open (Not set, Gallery, Carousel highlighted, Mozaic) and an arrow pointing to the Update button.
