How to change currency and price format?

Set which currency your listings are priced in and how the number itself looks — name, sign, sign position and format — from the Listivo Panel.

1 minute read

You can set your currency in /wp-admin/ > Listivo Panel > Basic Setup > Currencies.

  1. 1 Open the currency settings

In /wp-admin/, go to Listivo Panel > Basic Setup > Currencies.

Listivo Panel settings with the Currency tab circled; below it a table with one USD row (sign $, sign position before, format ###,###,###) and an "Add New Currency" button.
  2. 2 Choose what to change

You can change the currency name (e.g. GBP), the currency sign (e.g. £), the sign position (before or after the number) and the format.

  3. 3 Find your currency sign

The easiest way to get a sign such as £ is to search for it in Google and copy/paste it into the Listivo Panel (e.g. search for pound sign).

A Google results page for the query "pound sign", with a featured snippet from Wikipedia explaining the £ symbol.
  4. 4 Configure the currency

Click the Edit button on the currency row.

A single currency row reading USD, $, before, ###,###,###.## with a blue Edit button at the right.

Where the new format shows up

The new price format is used everywhere on your website, for example on listing cards and in the loan calculator.

Two listing cards, "Apartment With Pool" priced £80,000.00 and "Home Office Desktop" priced £800.00, with the pound sign before the number.
A "Buy Now Pay Later" calculator with price, interest rate, period and down payment fields, showing a monthly payment of 467.67£ and total payments of 140,301.61£.
In the calculator the sign is placed after the number, following the sign position you set.
