Configuring Map Pins

Choose whether each ad appears on the map as a price tag or as a plain pin icon, and see what both look like before you commit to one.

1 minute read

Listivo offers two types of pins for use in map displays: Classic and Price Tags (turned on by default).

To configure the type of pin you'd like to use, follow these steps:

  1. 1 Open the template that has a map

In most cases the map is on the search results page, so go to Listivo Panel > Search Results Page and edit the template that has a map.

The Listivo Panel Templates screen with the Search Results Page tab selected, listing Sidebar Search, Map Search and Horizontal Search. Arrows point to the tab and to the Edit button on the Map Search row.
  2. 2 Open Advanced Map Settings

Edit the Search Map widget and expand the Advanced Map Settings section.

The Elementor "Edit Search Map" panel with Advanced Map Settings expanded, showing the Marker Clustering and Marker Type controls, next to a preview of the search page with price tags on the map.
  3. 3 Pick the marker type

Open the Marker Type dropdown and choose between Price/Salary and Icon.

The Advanced Map Settings panel with the Marker Type dropdown open, showing Price/Salary ticked and Icon as the other option, above a Marker Clustering toggle set to No.

What each marker type looks like

Price/Salary: this option will display the value entered in the price or salary fields.

A close-up of a city map covered with red price tag markers reading $4,950, $45,000, $78,950, $85,000 and $88,000.

Icon: this option will use a predefined icon to represent the pin on the map.

One pin style for the whole map
As of now, the theme does not support custom pins for different categories, such as varying colors or icons for distinct categories like cars and homes.
