Minimum PHP Requirements and Server Settings

Check your hosting before you install MyHome: the PHP version the theme expects, the php.ini limits it needs, and what to send your host if the defaults are too low.

1 minute read

To ensure the theme runs smoothly, your hosting provider should support the following:

PHP version: 8.1 or 8.2

Avoid PHP 8.3 for now
WordPress only provides beta support for PHP 8.3. You can check the current status in the WordPress PHP compatibility handbook.

PHP settings:

  • upload_max_filesize = 32M
  • post_max_size = 32M
  • max_input_time=300
  • max_execution_time= 300
  • max_input_vars = 10000
  • memory_limit = 256M

If the default limits are inadequate, you can change your server settings through your hosting provider's cPanel or by editing the php.ini file. If you cannot make these changes yourself, contact your hosting provider: give them the minimum requirements above and they can adjust the settings on your behalf.
